Why Settle For Clichés?

Motion Design is not about imitation – it's about pushing boundaries, defying expectations, and creating new movement.

To create is to doubt the rules, to challenge, to break apart what exists and rebuild something entirely new.

BREAK IT.

REDEFINE IT.

RECONSTRUCT IT.

WITHOUT DESTRUCTION, THERE IS NO CREATION.

The future is proven to those who dare to re-imagine it.

The FutureProof '25 branding was created by

Motion Design seniors, Rin Yokoi and Diane Lee.

FUTUREPROOF

The Motion Design Conference at Ringling College

includes industry presentations, workshops, technical demos, and activities designed for students studying at Ringling College to ensure they have a seamless transition from the classroom to their future careers. Our mission is to prepare the next generation of visual communicators through education, inspiration, and connection.

“There is no better way to inspire students than to provide them with professional engagements with the creative leaders of our industry,” said Ed Cheetham, Chair of the Department of Motion Design. “Leveraging Ringling's professional reputation and the exceptional quality of our students, we attract leading studios who are eager to engage with the next wave of emerging talent. This initiative underscores Ringling’s commitment to providing students with unique opportunities to connect directly with industry leaders, right from our campus.”

The event is created for Motion Design students and alumni — but all Ringling College students are welcome to attend. Representatives from Career Services will also be available throughout the event to provide students with workshops on topics such as resume building, networking, and interviewing skills.

We would like to give a big thank you to our FutureProof '25 sponsors for their generous support of our motion design students: Maxon, Unreal Engine, Foundry, Adobe, and our media sponsor, Stash.

FutureProof '24 Recap

FutureProof '24 - The Motion Design Conference at Ringling College has been a truly memorable experience for our Motion Design students.

A huge THANK YOU to all our guest speakers, recruiters, sponsors, and alumni for giving of your time and talents to educate, inspire, encourage, and support these young creatives.

In the words of some of our students:
"FutureProof shows us what we have the potential to become."

"FutureProof is such an incredible way of getting to actually know people in the industry... These connections are absolutely incredible."

"Beyond learning and networking, FutureProof feels like a "family gathering," where we reconnect with alumni and share in each other's successes. It's a reminder of the strong community we have here."
